Scouts from both Premier League clubs reportedly watched the 24-year-old Ecuador international during PSG's recent 2-2 draw against Lille. However, any potential transfer remains highly unlikely in the near future after the left-footed centre-back signed a contract extension in Paris running until 2031.
PSG strengthen hold on Pacho after summer move
Pacho only joined the French champions in August 2024, completing a €45m (£39m) transfer from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. He immediately established himself as a key figure in Paris, starting all three of PSG's opening Ligue 1 fixtures this season and playing the full 90 minutes in each match. PSG moved quickly to protect their investment, officially confirming a long-term contract extension in September 2026 to secure his services for the next five years. This extended deal significantly strengthens PSG's negotiating position, meaning any future suitor would likely need to exceed his previous valuation and offer a fee well above €50m to even tempt the Ligue 1 club into negotiations.

The links to both Premier League title contenders come despite strong existing defensive options at both clubs.
