The pursuit of a top-tier goalscorer is complicated by mid-season availability. Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak remains a long-term target for the Gunners, but the Tyneside club value the Swedish international well in excess of £100m and refuse to consider a mid-season sale. This stance, alongside the unavailability of other high-profile targets, has forced Arsenal to look at more realistic options. Alvarez, who joined Atletico Madrid from Manchester City, offers proven Premier League experience, while Kroupi represents a highly-rated young profile who could adjust to a supporting role behind Havertz.
