Arsenal have stepped up their monitoring of AIK striker Kevin Filling, with scouts from the North London club joining a host of European heavyweights in Sweden to watch the teenager. According to a report by CaughtOffside, representatives from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Juventus have all been present at recent AIK matches in Stockholm to assess the highly-rated forward.
Failed Manchester United talks open door for rivals
Arsenal's scouting mission comes after Manchester United failed to capitalise on their initial groundwork for the young attacker. As first reported by Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg in October 2025, United had previously entered concrete negotiations to sign Filling. However, those discussions did not result in a finalised agreement, opening the door for rival suitors to position themselves.
CaughtOffside reports that any future transfer package for the striker could reach between €20m and €25m. However, Premier League clubs face a mandatory waiting period; under post-Brexit regulations, UK-based sides are legally barred from signing international players under the age of 18. Filling will not celebrate his 18th birthday until November 2026, meaning any formal transfer to England cannot be processed before then.

The interest from Europe's elite stems from Filling's rapid physical and technical development in the Allsvenskan. Speaking to media about the player's progression, AIK's Fredrik Wisur Hansen noted: "Kevin was one of the first academy players I noticed when I came to the club, and since then his development has been very positive. With his pace, intensity and natural aggression, he is a perfect fit for the football we want to play."
