According to reports by TEAMtalk, both Turkish clubs have approached intermediaries regarding the 22-year-old, but Brighton maintain that the midfielder is not for sale. The Turkish transfer window remains open until Friday, leaving a narrow window for a late proposal, whilst Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool are also monitoring the Swede's situation.
Hurzeler confirms contract discussions
Ayari joined Brighton from Swedish side AIK in January 2023, and his contract situation remains subject to conflicting reports, with some sources stating his deal expires next summer and others claiming it runs until 2027. Speaking to the Sussex Express, Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler sought to calm fan anxieties, stating: "No, I think that the fans won't have to be concerned. We are in an exchange with him. Yasin knows that the club gives him a big chance and he used it in a very impressive way."
Midfield value and tactical importance
Hürzeler has publicly praised Ayari's physical profile, highlighting his suitability for the rigours of English football. "He has the physicality and mental resilience to always be available," Hürzeler noted in comments reported by the BBC. "That is a key thing in the Premier League, to have resilience against injuries. That is why he is a very important player for us. He is improving day-by-day."
