The 34-year-old was prosecuted at Warrington Combined Court under the Single Justice Procedure after failing to respond to a notice of prosecution from Cheshire Constabulary regarding an incident on 27 March, 2026. A court official confirmed that the conviction pertains to the failure to identify the driver of a Rolls-Royce registered to Salah, which was recorded travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The Egyptian international was ordered to pay a total of £1,044.
Court documents do not establish that the forward was operating the vehicle at the time of the offence. The legal proceedings relate exclusively to the failure to provide the identification details required by law. There are no reported implications for Salah’s professional playing status with Turkish club Trabzonspor, as the disqualification applies only to UK roads.
