Representatives from the German Bundesliga side watched the midfielder during Leicester's 4-3 victory over Stockport County at Edgeley Park. Manchester United, who also had people in attendance, remain interested in the player after a proposed move collapsed on transfer deadline day during the summer window due to a gap in valuation.

According to reports, Page is under professional terms at Leicester City, having signed in September 2025. This contract means interested clubs must fully negotiate a fee with Leicester rather than having the figure set by a tribunal. Leicester are understood to be seeking a premium fee for their academy graduate, reportedly holding out for £12m up front plus £3m in add-ons. That valuation exceeds the £12.5m (€11.7m) fee that Manchester City recently paid to sign Leicester's 17-year-old forward Jeremy Monga.

Manchester United are leading the domestic interest in Page and were reportedly willing to pay around £8m before the summer deadline. Despite that failure to agree a fee, journalist Ben Jacobs reported on the United Stand that the Old Trafford club remain highly interested in securing a pre-transfer agreement or a buy-and-loan-back arrangement for 2027. Arsenal and Aston Villa have also registered interest in the midfielder, who was named EFL Apprentice of the Year last season despite Leicester's relegation to League One.
