Liverpool and AC Milan are keeping a close watch on Real Madrid forward Endrick ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports from Tribal Football. Both clubs are interested in securing the 20-year-old Brazilian on loan if the Spanish giants decide to soften their stance later this year.
During the summer transfer window, Liverpool made contact with Real Madrid to explore a loan move for Endrick that potentially included a buy option. AC Milan, Roma, and Aston Villa also registered interest in the attacker. However, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and manager José Mourinho firmly rejected all proposals, choosing to keep the forward at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Mourinho publicly addressed the summer interest, confirming he blocked any exit. "He is a player I like very much, who received many enquiries from clubs about a loan or a sale," Mourinho stated. "I didn't want to negotiate him because I like him and I appreciate working with this young player who has significant talent."
Playing Time Key to January Stance
Endrick spent the second half of last season on loan at French side Lyon, where he scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 21 appearances. Despite returning to Madrid with the intention of fighting for his place, physical issues have hampered his integration. A muscular injury kept him out of action during the early weeks of the campaign, though he recently returned to the bench as an unused substitute during a Champions League win over Inter Milan.
The forward is expected to return to competitive action in October.
