Mikel Arteta Close To New Arsenal Contract As Juventus And Atlético Madrid Monitor Noni Madueke

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is very close to signing a contract extension, while European giants Juventus and Atlético Madrid monitor winger Noni Madueke ahead of a potential January loan.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club, according to reporting by Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, shared via TeamTalk. Discussions between Arsenal and Arteta's representatives have been ongoing since initial contacts began in March and April, and talks are now in the final stages with his lawyers.

While Arteta's future at the Emirates Stadium appears secure, the club is also linked to potential decisions regarding squad depth. According to a report by CaughtOffside, European clubs Juventus and Atlético Madrid are closely monitoring the situation of winger Noni Madueke. The 24-year-old could be considered for a potential loan move in the upcoming January transfer window, possibly including an option to buy.

Madueke joined Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea in July 2025 for an initial fee of £48.5m, rising to over £50m with add-ons, according to BBC Sport. While he received significant playing time during his debut campaign due to injuries to Bukayo Saka, Saka's return to form and fitness at the start of this season has limited Madueke's playing time to mostly substitute appearances.

No formal negotiations have taken place between Arsenal and any interested clubs regarding Madueke. Furthermore, Arsenal are under no immediate pressure to sanction a move, as the winger remains under contract until 2030.
