Kai Havertz

Arsenal intend to keep striker Viktor Gyökeres for the rest of the season but remain open to future offers, according to insider reports.

Arsenal will reportedly only consider selling striker Viktor Gyökeres if they can secure a top-class replacement first, amid transfer interest from Atlético de Madrid.

Viktor Gyökeres faces a testing period at Arsenal after failing to feature in their opening fixtures, leading to speculative rumours of a January swap deal involving Ivan Toney.

Arsenal have narrowed their January transfer shortlist to Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi following serious injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.

Jamie Carragher believes £64m summer signing Viktor Gyökeres will not displace Kai Havertz in Arsenal's starting lineup once the German returns from knee surgery.
